Decorative icons

The icons are made up of combinations of the building block, angles, and curves, tying into the details of Arial for Knowit. In the same way as we connect people and technology in new ways, the elements can be combined into various different figures, icons, or expressions.

The building block

The building block is the element that serves to tie our profile together and is taken from the display font Arial for Knowit. The format is always the same but can be combined in endless ways, depending on what we want to convey. From something clean and simple to something powerful and playful. From a single, solid color to a full symphony of colors. Combine. Connect. Create!

Icons

The icon set includes both serious business icons for numbers, agendas, statistics, et cetera, and fun icons for events and low-key presentations and productions. They can replace images and be used in large sizes on slides and posters. A combination of the serious and the fun icons will help showcase who we are and what we are like. Clever in our work and fun to be with.

Size

The illustrated icons must be large enough that the expression is clearly visible. If they cannot be kept large, it’s better to use generic icons instead.

  • Size

Here’s how to do it

  • Icon on color

The icons can be used against all colors in Knowit’s color palette, as long as they are clearly visible, with sufficient contrast effect against the background.

  • Icon on images

The icons can be used against images, as long as they are clearly visible, with sufficient contrast effect against the background.

  • Icon on material

The icons may be used against materials – e.g., giveaways/walls, etc. – as long as they are clearly visible, with sufficient contrast effect against the background.

  • Icon on illustration

Don’t do this

  • Don’t modify

Icons are downloadable files and may not be modified so they lose their character. No reshaping or rotation!

  • No effects

Icons must not be used with effects.

  • Don’t merge

Icons must not be merged with other icons, foreign elements, or texts in such a way that their expression becomes obscure.

  • Don’t combine

Icons must not be combined with logos to create new identity elements.

  • Restricted colors

The icons must never be any color other than those approved.

  • Not against images

Icons must not be used against images if this means they become unclear or have insufficient contrast against the background.
